National President,
John “JB” Bellico
John recently retired as a 2nd Grade Detective with the NYPD where he began his career in 2001. He was assigned to the Gun Violence Suppression Division, where he investigated firearm cases city wide. His former assignments include the Queens Violence reduction task force & 100 Detective Squad. He is both a former DEA Delegate as well as the former Brooklyn Trustee for the NYPD Columbia Association. He is the founder and the President of the Smoking Shields. He is married and has three kids. It is his goal to have a Smoking Shields chapter in each state by the year 2025. Currently we have chapters in New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Ohio, Nevada and South Carolina, with more expansion every day.

Daniel Ticali
Dan began his career with the NYPD in the summer of 2001. Currently, he is a 2nd-grade detective assigned to the Detective Bureau's Tactical Training Unit as a Tactical and Investigative Instructor. In addition to being the Vice President for the Smoking Shields, he also holds the Recording Secretary position for Blue Live Matter-NYC. He is married with two daughters.

Adam Constantino
Adam began his career in the NYPD in 1993 working in the 13th precinct. In 1998, he hit the “Law Enforcement lottery” and was hired by the Nassau County Police Department. During his career with NCPD, in addition to routine patrol, he was assigned to the Mounted Unit where he spent 8 years. After 20 years of uniform patrol, Adam became a Detective where he found a passion for chasing Internet Child Predators and was assigned to investigate Internet Crimes Against Children; a job he did for 5 years with the Nassau County PD, the NYS ICAC Taskforce and the US Homeland Security Investigations Long Island office, until he retired in 2020.

John Paynter
John is a newly retired 2nd grade detective with the NYPD. He began his career in 1989 with the NYC Transit Police. Before he retired, he was assigned to the Firearms & Tactics section as an armorer. John hopes to make at least one meeting and or function of each chapter. He is married with 3 children.

KylE hansen
Kyle began his career with the NYPD in 2013, working in Brooklyn North IRT, and the 75th precinct for 2 years before joining the MTA Police. He is currently a Detective assigned to Staten Island. He is married with one dog, Roger, who has been banned from SSHQ by Pres.
